Prairie Partners 4-H club held its meeting April 14 at Holmesville Elementary. Devotion was led by Kamden Milner, and the pledges to the flags were led by Jaime and Alli Milner. The minutes of the March 17 meeting and the treasurer’s report were read and approved.

Possible fundraisers were discussed as well as applying for the Good Done Great Grant. The club also will donate a park bench to the fairgrounds. The fair booth theme and slogan were decided on, and the members voted to amend the club constitution.

A motion was passed to say the club would have a maximum of 10 families, not including the clover buds. Members talked about what they enjoy about the Prairie Partners to include in the club information section of its brochure.

Natalie Schlegel will attend the Club Officer Training on April 22 and report back. Jaime Milner gave a demonstration on how to saddle a horse, Kamden Milner showed how to start a fire with flint and steel, and Alli Milner demonstrated how to bottle feed a baby goat.

Refreshments were supplied by the Milner families, and members played Easter candy bingo. The next meeting is scheduled for Sunday, May 5 at Holmesville Elementary, where members will receive their project books.

Holmesville Elementary is located at 8141 E. Jackson St. in Holmesville.
