Returning for its fourth-consecutive season, Art on the Alley is back to celebrate arts and culture in the alleys of downtown New Philadelphia. Just like in previous years, artists will be posted along Ashwood Lane and First Drive Northwest and Southwest, demonstrating their work and selling original works of art. Local nonprofits will provide activities for kids, and food trucks will be available.

Live entertainment at the North Stage beside Museum Acrylics will be organized by Chetsville Live, which includes George Tsantis, Kearstin Clark, Atom Lax and Josh Polen. In Alley Cats Marketplace, there will be entertainment including music by Null and Void and Nick Bonner and a book-signing event for “Just Smile and Say Hello” by Trang Moreland.

Local businesses around Art on the Alley’s footprint will be open for the community to visit including Alley Cats Marketplace and Fresh the Market, Art & Soul Gallery, the Daily Grind, the Ezekiel Project, Mad Bros, To Your Health Nutrition and more.

Sponsors for this year’s Art on the Alley include A&M Services (Auman Inc.), Alban Title, Alley Cats Marketplace and Fresh the Market, The Bibliophile Bookshop, Cleveland Clinic - Union Hospital, Edward Jones - Paul R. Gorgas AAMS, The Ezekiel Project, First Federal Community Bank, First Stop Signs & Apparel, Gretchen Stokey Designs, Gutter Helmet by Harry Helmet, Kent State Tuscarawas Alumni Association, McInturf Realty, Miller and Miller, Missions Cafe, Nelson Insurance, Transamerica Life Insurance & Retirement, and What’s Cooking Cafe.

In coordination with the local health department, social distance guidelines will be in place similar to October 2020’s event. Vendors, volunteers and the community participating at Art on the Alley are asked to wear masks, maintain social distance and follow the path arrows for traffic flow along the alleys. Artists will be the only ones to touch their work in their spaces unless a transaction is made.
