The Wayne Center for the Arts is accepting works for the community-driven 6x6 Show, entering its second year after a launch during last year's Fall Festival.

This show aims to bring together hundreds of pieces made by local artists, designers, community members and youth to cover the gallery walls. From now until Sept. 19, Wayne Center for the Arts is collecting all works of art that are 6-by-6 inches square, of any theme and in any media. The 6x6 Show will run from Oct. 8 through Dec. 10 with artwork pickup on Dec. 12.

Each entry requires a registration form available at www.wayneartscenter.org under the Visit tab or by visiting the front desk at Wayne Center for the Arts, 237 S. Walnut St., Wooster. All works will be available for sale to the public at $20 each with $10 benefiting the Wayne Center for the Arts and $10 going directly to the artist. There is no entry fee required.

Wayne Center for the Arts also is calling on the local community of Wayne and Holmes counties to submit and share their works for the annual Wayne/Holmes County Artist Exhibition. This yearly showcase aims to present the talents of artists within Wayne and Holmes counties in the arts center’s Gault and Looney Galleries in the form of a curated exhibit that also includes both judged and fan-voted awards.

The show will run from Jan. 12 through Feb. 7 with all approved artwork due for drop-off on Dec. 12 and 13. Those interested in submitting work for the 2023 Wayne Holmes Exhibition can find the application online at www.wayneartscenter.org under the Visit tab or by visiting Wayne Center for the Arts during regular business hours.

Anyone interested in participating in either of these shows should email buckey@wayneartscenter.org.
