Breaking into publishing with Hope Bolinger
The Askren Memorial Branch Library of the Massillon Public Library will host Hope Bolinger on Jan. 25 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. for a writing workshop.
There are a lot of gatekeepers in publishing. Bolinger has done just about everything, from agenting, working at publishers and writing for publication. She’ll show how to break into publishing the easiest way. Bring some writing samples to share with the group.
Bolinger has given classes at more than 300 venues, ranging from conferences to classroom settings, libraries and podcasts/radio/TV. She is a literary agent with more than 1,000 of her own works published, from short stories and plays to middle grade, young adult and adult fiction. When she isn’t working five jobs, she loves to play for her local handbell group, act in local theater and cuddle her cat Twix.
Registration is required. Call 330-791-7061.
The Askren Branch Library is located at 1226 Market St. NE in Navarre.
