Bryce C. Browning (1924-2018) was an accomplished artist who worked in multiple media. A section of a larger work of art is pictured here.

                        

The Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts, located at 461 Robinson Drive SE in New Philadelphia, will host a free public reception on Thursday, June 6 at 6 p.m. to present artwork in three exhibitions.

“Bryce C. Browning: A Retrospective” will be displayed in the Foland Gallery, "A Collection of Work by Students of Bryce C. Browning" will be shown throughout the upper galleries, and photography by Deborah Morrison and Scott Morrison will be exhibited in the Members Gallery. Refreshments will be served, and Christine Rober will play the piano.

Bryce C. Browning (1924-2018) was an accomplished artist who worked in multiple media. The retrospective includes ceramics, sculpture, painting, photography and collage. Browning also had a distinguished teaching career, particularly influencing and inspiring award-winning students at Dover High School (1972-86). Many of his former students will participate in the students' exhibition.

The exhibitions are funded in part by Lauren International, The Kimble Foundation, The Pietro - Martinelli Charitable Fund and the Ohio Arts Council.
