Holmes Center for the Arts is offering free ballet classes for children age 7 and up, with lessons June 18 in Nashville, July 15 at the HCA and July 17 in Clark. Participants must register and can do so at www.holmescenterforthearts.org/summerdance.

                        

Holmes Center for the Arts is offering free ballet classes for children age 7 and up and taught by former professional ballerina Holley Johnson.

Classes will be held June 18 at Nashville Church of Christ, July 15 at Holmes Center for the Arts and July 17 at Clark Community Center, with each session from 9:30-11 a.m. This is an opportunity to try out ballet without committing to a full semester.

Johnson has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet from the University of Utah with a performance emphasis. She was a professional ballerina with Atlanta Ballet and Lexington Ballet and has performed at Fox Theater in Atlanta, the Olympic Centennial Park, the Opera House in Lexington, Royal Festival Hall in London and more. Johnson has taught ballet for over 20 years and has three children of her own.
