Library offers watercolor class
The Tuscarawas County Public Library System will hold a watercolor art series hosted at the Tuscarawas County Main Library for adults age 55 and older. The program is made possible through a grant from the State Library of Ohio with federal funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
The four-week series will be led by Deb Walker, president of the Tuscarawas Art Guild. Classes will take place Wednesdays in June from 10-11:30 a.m.
“Deb is an exceptional watercolorist with her work focusing on the wonder of nature,” said Megan Kovalaske-Grimm, public relations associate for the library. “During this series participants will explore various watercolor techniques.”
Student artwork produced during the series will be featured in a display in the Lower Gallery of the Tuscarawas County Main Library throughout the month of July. Participation is limited to 15 people, and those registering must commit to attend all four sessions.
To register for the free series, visit the library’s online event calendar at www.tusclibrary.org or call 330-364-4474. All sessions will be held at the Tuscarawas County Main Library, 121 Fair Ave. NW, New Philadelphia.
