Little Theatre of Tuscarawas County will hold its annual membership meeting on Sunday, Sept. 10 at 2 p.m. at the theater. Memberships and patronages are available for purchase online and at the theater before and during the meeting.

General business will include a review of the previous year’s financials, projects and shows, as well as a look at the upcoming season.

Six members are running to fill the positions of three retiring board members. They are April Bonvechio, Malarie Chineal, Garret Davis, Josie McCutcheon, Meghan Miller and Dan Wiandt. Nominations also will be accepted from the floor during the meeting. Paid-in-full members, patrons and Marquee members are eligible to vote.

Responsibilities for board members include serving a term of three consecutive years, attending one meeting per month, serving as board liaison to at least one production each year, input and voting on issues brought to the board, and attendance at any emergency meetings that may be called by the president of the board. New board members are elected by an in-person vote. Board members are not able to direct a show during those three years.

Other committees on which members might volunteer to serve include box office, building and grounds, concessions, education, grant writing, hair and makeup, historian, hospitality, house, lighting, membership and patrons, OCTA delegate, OCTA representative, original productions, play reading, props, publicity, social media and website, sound, set and workshop, tour groups, ushers, and wardrobe.

Volunteers are encouraged to let board members know it they are interested in working on one of these committees. Call 330-308-6400.
