Malone University Alumni and Friends Choir includes members who attended the school in the mid-1960s through the present.

                        

The Malone University Alumni and Friends Choir will present a public concert on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. in the Stewart Room of the Randall Campus Center (The Barn) on the Malone University campus, 2600 Cleveland Ave. NW, Canton.

Members of the group include those that graduated in the mid-1960s through the present. Their repertoire includes “Let All Sing!;” “There Is Faint Music;” “Hallelujah, What a Savior;” “Ezekiel Saw the Wheel;” “Total Praise;” “Here I Am, Lord;” “Ancient Words;” “Fum, Fum, Fum;” “Sound the Round;” “He Hideth My Soul;” “When He Shall Come;” “Glory to God in the Highest;” and “Christ Be with Me.”

Levi Muriuki serves as the pianist. Darius McBride and Les Widder are co-directors. More information can be obtained by calling 330-284-8284 or 740-622-1138.

The Malone University Alumni and Friends Choir also will perform another free concert on Saturday, Nov. 16 at the Union Hill United Methodist Church, 7877 Union Hill Road NW, Sugarcreek, across from Dutch Valley Restaurant at 7 p.m. in their sanctuary.

Although the concerts are free, there will be a love offering taken to support the Malone University music scholarship program.
