Mid Summer’s Night Art Affair marks its 20th year

The public is invited to a gallery reception for the 20th annual Mid Summer’s Night Art Affair on Saturday, July 16 from 7-9 p.m. at the Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts.

The art exhibition will highlight recent works in a variety of media and styles created by invited artists with a Tuscarawas County connection. Bob Ventre and Bruce Wallace will provide jazz music for the evening, and refreshments will be served.

In addition to the exhibition in the main Foland Gallery, the public will be invited to view a retrospective exhibition of work by Herb Matzinger in the Members Gallery and artworks from the permanent collection throughout the upper galleries.

Artists participating in this year’s event are Terry Barnhill, Jeff Beitzel, Juli Boman, Anthony Contini, Lynn Cox, Susan Cramer Stein, Sarah Dugger, Aubrey Gealsha, Melissa Gish, Charles Graham, Dee Grossman, Jane Hazel, Jackie Holan, Kiyoe Howald, James Oliver Huff, Gina Judy, Chris Kalouche, Bill Koch, Douglas Laubacher, Skip Limbach, Jasmine Mills, Philista Mills, Deb Morrison, Scott Morrison, Vivian Mosley, P T Mowrey, Steve Muhs, Barbara Palmer, Zac Pirillo, Tom Radca, Nancy Rees, Peggy Sibila, Tim Sidel, Paula, Siebieda, Stephanie Space, Ed Steffek, Ginny Stocker, Jon Stucky, Yan Sun, Kyle Valentini and Hong Yin.

The show will run through Sept. 7. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to 3 p.m. on Saturdays. Admission to the reception and show are free, but donations are appreciated.

The exhibition is funded in part by Lauren International, The Ohio Arts Council, the Tuscarawas County Community Foundation, The Pietro-Martinelli Charitable Trust, Appalachian Community Fund and Doris Kimble.

Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts is located at 461 Robinson Drive SE in New Philadelphia.
