Morrison awarded Best in Show

Deb Morrison was awarded Best in Show for her photo, “B&W Stallion.” She also received first place in the People category and first and second in the Open category.

                        

The Tuscarawas County Area Photographic Association, in partnership with the Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts, announced the winners of the 2021 annual photography contest and exhibition.

There were 20 photographs selected by two judges, Terry Barnhill and Michael Wise, to receive awards in five categories: Animals, Nature, People, Landscape/Cityscape and Open. The following artists were honored with awards:

Deb Morrison was awarded Best in Show for her photo, “B&W Stallion.” She also received first place in the People category and first and second in the Open category.

Scott Morrison was awarded first place in Landscape, first place in the Animal category and also honorable mention in Nature.

Daniel Lux received second place in three categories: Animals, Nature and Landscape.

Michelle Wittensoldner received first place and honorable mention in Nature.

Julie Murray was awarded second place for People and honorable mention in Landscape.

Other honorable mentions were given to Suzanne Lux (Animals), Bill Roloff (Nature), Thom Baker (People), Christy McMillan (Landscape and Open) and Gary Conner (Open).

Entries were limited to five per person. Cash prizes and ribbons were given to the winners.

All of the photographs submitted for the contest will be on display through the first week of February at the Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts, 461 Robinson Drive SE, New Philadelphia.
