The Massillon Museum now offers ceramics firing for ceramicists who work at home. The artwork can be delivered to the museum to be included in the kiln when the ceramics studio managers fire pottery created in classes and open studio sessions. MassMu’s LL kiln fires at 04/06 for bisque firing and 6 for glaze firing.

The monthly firing fee is $40 ($30 for MassMu members) and guarantees a minimum of one firing per month. Ceramicists can learn more about firings and the number and size of pieces they can bring to the museum by emailing ceramics studio co-managers Ben Myers and Alex Myers at ceramics@massillonmuseum.org or calling 330-833-4061. They should visit the museum to pay the firing fee.

The Massillon Museum’s ceramics studio is located in the former Chamber of Commerce office at the corner of Lincoln Way East and City Hall Street. It is accessed through the museum’s main entrance.

The Massillon Museum is located at 121 Lincoln Way E. (Ohio Route 172) in downtown Massillon. A visit to the Massillon Museum is always free. Free parking is available on adjacent streets and in nearby city lots. For more information call the museum at 330-833-4061 or visit www.massillonmuseum.org.
