The Massillon Museum’s annual membership drive is underway. Operations officer Scot Phillips, who coordinates the membership campaign, said this year’s goal is to reach 800 members. The campaign will continue through the end of the year.

For one day only, Friday, Dec. 20, the museum will offer student memberships at $1 each. Individuals, students and families who join at the basic level receive a discount on classes, workshops and museum shop purchases; a subscription to the museum newsletter; invitations to “members-only” events; and facility rental opportunities.

Individual memberships are $25; the entire family receives membership advantages for $50. Students may usually join for $10. Pets can join for just $5 if they don’t plan to visit the museum or $10 it they plan to attend a pet-friendly event. Memberships are available at many higher levels. The Gessner Family Foundation will match any new or increased membership funding raised during the campaign.

Although the membership drive focuses on growth at the end of each year, new members are welcome at any time throughout the year. To become a member of the Massillon Museum, call Phillips at 330-833-4061 ext. 110, stop at the reception desk for a membership brochure or visit www.massillonmuseum.org.
