Dee Grossman will facilitate a four-week wheel throwing pottery class.

                        

Terry Barnhill, a master photographer with more than 40 years experience and who was a certified judge for the Professional Photographers of America, will facilitate four Saturday workshops for adults and teens at the Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts.

The Jan. 11 workshop titled How To Improve Your Contest Skills will focus on ways to become more competitive and successful.

The Jan. 18 workshop titled How To Shoot Like a Pro will focus on using a few basic tools to improve the outcome of work.

The Feb. 1 workshop titled Basic DSLR Photography will focus on basic camera settings, lens use and composition.

The Feb. 15 workshop titled Photoshop and Lightroom Nuts and Bolts will focus on demystifying those tools to improve photography.

Each photo workshop cost is $20 and will be held from 9-11:30 a.m.

Dee Grossman will facilitate a four-week wheel throwing pottery class beginning Saturday, Jan. 11 from 9:30 a.m. to noon, and class size is limited.

Melissa Gish will facilitate a five-week hand-building clay workshop beginning Saturday, Feb. 8 from 10 a.m. to noon that will focus on creating clay objects using slab and coil construction and glazing techniques.

The total cost of the pottery workshops is $150 or $125 for art center members. The price includes clay, glaze and firing.

The center is located at 461 Robinson Drive SE in New Philadelphia.
