The Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts will host a juried exhibition of works created by graduating senior art students.

                        

The Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts will host a juried exhibition of works created by graduating senior art students from area high schools. The show will run through May 17 and will close at 6 p.m. with a reception and awards presentation.

Student award winners are Nora Bryan, Dover, Best of Show; Liberty Copley, Indian Valley, first place; Winona Wherley, New Philadelphia, second place; and Emily Summerson, Dover, third place.

Winning honorable mention are Taylor Beck, Alexis Mamula, Cora Sisil and Winona Wherley from New Philadelphia and Koda Miller and Zoe Mulheman from Dover.

High school art instructors are Sara Dittfeld, Indian Valley; Heather Agar and Stephanie Speedy, New Philadelphia; and Keri Stratton, Samantha Hanenkrat and Wendy Mohn, Dover.

Pianist Christine Rober will perform, and refreshments will be served at the public reception. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.

The arts center is located at 461 Robinson Drive SE in New Philadelphia, and gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.
