TAP seeks instructors

Adelante Arts Camp is a summer arts camp program for Latino and Hispanic middle and high school students.


Tuscarawas Arts Partnership and the Tuscarawas County Public Library System are seeking a photography instructor and creative writing instructor or an instructor that specializes in both to lead the Adelante Arts Camp, a summer arts camp program for Latino and Hispanic students in grades 6-12 with a goal to celebrate the Latino and Hispanic culture in Tuscarawas County.

The instructors are to work hand in hand to develop the curriculum for the arts camp and coordinate with TAP and the Tuscarawas County Public Library System. The instructors must possess the ability to work with grades 6-12 and give students an environment to tell their stories.

The final project will be an exhibition of the students’ work and a book.

The camp will begin with an orientation in the afternoon on Friday, June 3 for students to meet their instructor and learn about the camp. The camp will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from Tuesday, June 14 through Thursday, July 28 with each session lasting three hours a day.

BCI/FBI fingerprinting will be expected at the start of hire. Instructors will be paid for their work.
