The Massillon Museum to screen documentary ‘Shot in the Dark’
The Massillon Museum will present a free screening of the documentary “Shot in the Dark.”
The Massillon Museum will present a free screening of the documentary “Shot in the Dark” Saturday, May 3 from 3-4:30 p.m. in Gessner Hall. Although admission is free, registration is requested at MassMu.org/Tickets.
“Shot in the Dark,” a 2017 film by Frank Amann, features three blind photographers who have dedicated their lives to creating images. The documentary complements the museum’s main gallery exhibition, “Sight Unseen: International Photography by Blind Artists,” which is on view through May 18.
“Sight Unseen” explores the nature of seeing by bringing the inner visions of blind artists into the world of the sighted.
Visitors are encouraged to explore “Sight Unseen” and more than a dozen other exhibitions before or after the screening. Admission to the Massillon Museum is always free, and free parking is available on nearby streets and in city lots.
