The Reeves Museum will host a plein air lawn event on Sunday, Sept. 12 from 5-7 p.m. All local artists or budding artists of any skill level are welcome to attend.

Plein air is the act of painting outdoors, where artists can experience painting in the landscape while taking advantage of natural light. Plein air became popular in France in the mid-1800s and has since become a normal artistic practice.

Leading the attendees will be William Koch, current president of the Tuscarawas County Art Guild.

Attendees will need to bring their own supplies. These would include acrylic or water color paints, brushes, a canvas, a container for water, an easel, a chair and a TV tray.

There is no charge for this event. Call 330-343-7040 to register.

The Reeves Museum is located at 325 E. Iron Ave. in Dover.
