The second annual Massillon Voice singing competition will benefit the nonprofit Lions Lincoln Theatre, helping to pay for programming, repairs and operating expenses.

                        

The contestants for the second annual Massillon Voice singing competition, to be held at the Lions Lincoln Theatre on Saturday, Aug. 10 at 7 p.m., have been chosen.

Tickets for the show are $15 and may be purchased online at www.lionslincolntheatre.org or by calling 1-800-838-3006. All seats are reserved. Lions Lincoln Theatre is located at 156 Lincoln Way E. in Massillon.

This year there are 28 contestants who will compete for cash prizes and trophies. The contestants are Ginny Baughman, Randy Boothe, Emmalee Budinski and Ava Strunk, Shawn Marie Buttrill, Charlie DeVoe, Russell Drake, Tristen Drake, Faith Fisk, Xavier Geisinger, Bryson Gentry, Justine Gentry, Robert Hall, GiaVanni Himes, Paige Kuder, Susan Lynn, Valentina Merrick, Danielle Michaels, Claire Morrissey, Ethan Peterson, Jenna Ramsey, Janeen Robinson, Sarah Robinson, Katelynn Shaheen, Brianna Starkey, Ashley Stout, Alexus Thompson, and Kaylee Yutzy.

The Massillon Voice is a fundraiser that will benefit the nonprofit Lions Lincoln Theatre to help pay for programming, repairs and operating expenses. The contestants will be judged on their vocal ability and stage presence, which will account for 90 percent of their score. The remaining 10 percent of their score will be the total amount of donations made in their name from program ads purchased, online donations or donations from the audience during the performance. Each dollar that is donated will be counted as one vote. Online voting is active at www.lionslincolntheatre.org.
