Hands-on art workshops open to all
Textures in Nature, a four-week sketchbook/art journal class, will be held at the Beacon Cafe in Winesburg on Tuesdays, beginning April 2.
Holmes Center for the Arts will offer an art journaling/sketchbook class and clay workshops.
Hump Day Cork and Clay and Hump Day Cookies and Clay will be held on March 27 at the Olde World Bakery, 73 W. Jackson, Millersburg. These are hands-on workshops taught by ceramic artist Brittany "Jack" Jackson.
Workshops include all instruction and materials as well as food and drink options. Cork and Clay is from 7-9 p.m., and participants will make wind chimes. The cost includes an appetizer and the first glass of wine/beer/soda.
Cookies and Clay students will make hedgehog planters. The workshop will run from 5:30-7 p.m. and include a PBJ sandwich, cookie and glass of milk.
Textures in Nature, a four-week sketchbook/art journal class, will be held at the Beacon Cafe, 2157 U.S. 62, Winesburg, on Tuesdays, beginning April 2 from 6-8 p.m. This class will be taught by local botanical artist Cheryl Miller and will emphasize sketchbook practices and drawing textures found in nature.
