The Tuscarawas County Writers’ Guild meets at the Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts in New Philadelphia once a month.

                        

Lee Elliot will be the featured speaker at the Aug. 21 meeting of the Tuscarawas County Writers’ Guild at 7 p.m. The Dover resident currently has a weekly column in the Times-Reporter called “Aging Graciously.”

Elliot will describe the differences between journalism and writing fiction stories. She is an accomplished writer, teacher, theater director and a leader of Write Right, a critique group.

The guild meets at the Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts at 461 Robinson Drive in New Philadelphia. Refreshments are served, and everyone is welcome. The writing prompt for August is “Before summer ends.”
