Who carries cash anymore? Consumers swipe their debit or credit cards and are on their way without a thought to the merchants left holding the bill for the convenience of a quick check out. And why should they? Nowadays, verifying electronic transactions is the cost of doing business.

But the convenience of swiping a card isn’t as simple as it seems. It is a complex process of secure, instantaneous data routing between the banks, the credit card brands and the credit card processing companies.

That’s where Lisa Zaucha steps in. As the independent Central Payment (CPAY) agent, she keeps the people that rely on credit card processing in the tri-county area in mind.

Zaucha has a diverse client base across many industries such as food and beverage, leisure and entertainment, retail, professional services, health and beauty, hospitality, nonprofit organizations, grocery, and transportation. Whatever her clients’ line, they all share a bottom line and can save money by cutting out the middlemen. CPAY is a direct processor, which means the avoidance of middlemen saves CPAY clients a significant amount of money.

“CPAY is different from other credit card processing companies,” Zaucha said. “We deal with our clients directly: no middlemen and no surprise fees.”

Named by Inc. magazine as one of the fastest growing credit card processing companies in the country, CPAY stakes its reputation on giving its clients a fair shake. There are no long-term contracts, so there are no cancellation fees or early termination fees, and CPAY offers honest and easy agreements for clients interested in POS machines.

Zaucha works with her clients to educate them on the process. “It’s a better way of doing business,” Zaucha said. “There’s not a day that goes by that my clients can’t take their business somewhere else, and there’s not a day that goes by that I don’t feel like I haven’t earned my clients’ business. Tomorrow’s another day and another opportunity to find solutions and save money.”

Other credit card processing companies often tether their clients to their equipment. Clients can find themselves on the hook month after month for a lease payment.

And even if clients take the bait and buy the equipment, thinking they’re saving money by paying for it all up front, they often discover it’s locked, chained to the credit card processing company that sold them on it.

CPAY doesn’t lease or sell equipment and sets out to foster long-term, mutually beneficial relationships from the start.

“If you lease a credit card machine, as long as you’re making payments, you’re getting stuck with fees: loss and destruction insurance, property tax fees. And even if you buy it, you’re stuck with it if you find it’s not the best fit as your business’ needs change or the technology becomes outdated,” Zaucha said. “CPAY provides one free credit card machine for every location, so there’s nothing to lose. That’s a key difference.”

CPAY gives businesses the technology to thrive and has a variety of credit card processing equipment, from swipers and countertop terminals to all-in-one-tablets and full point-of-sale systems.

“Every CPAY credit card machine model is designed to work for the client’s needs,” Zaucha said. “A model can be hard-wired or mobile or a combination of both. I have clients who have traditional brick-and-mortar stores, but the system that works for them in the store also follows them to trade shows.”

There’s an expectation that a business will take debit and credit cards.

“People reach for Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express before fumbling around for cash,” Zaucha said. “Businesses can’t rely on the ATM collecting dust in the corner, either, because the fees the merchant pays for having it significantly outweigh any charges associated with a credit card machine. Besides taking all the major credit cards, another advantage our clients have is the ability to take private gas station cards including Wex, Voyager and Fleet cards.”

Zaucha puts her clients back in charge by responding to the demands of their business. “I’m committed to providing the best solutions for credit card processing at the best value,” Zaucha said.
