Winfield United Methodist Church will host the seventh annual Jerusalem Walk on Saturdays, April 6 and 13 from 4-8 p.m. and Sunday, April 7 from 2-6 p.m. An additional performance on Palm Sunday, April 14 from 2-6 p.m. will be held for group reservations only. Reservations for groups can be made by calling the church at 330-343-1494.

The Jerusalem Walk was a vision given to the late Randy Meese seven years ago. With only six weeks before Easter, he persevered that first year, and the live indoor drama came to life. Each year more effects and more cast members are added.

The Jerusalem Walk is a live drama with a cast of 50 dressed in garments of that time period. Five stations will be located in the church gymnasium, which will be transformed to represent the Jewish culture of the day. The stations are the Last Supper, the Garden of Gethsemane, Pilate’s Hall, the Crucifixion and the Resurrection.

Gathering will begin in the sanctuary. Special music will be provided in the church sanctuary each night of the event by area soloists and gospel groups from various churches as people wait for the walk. Groups of 15-20 will be conducted through the Jerusalem Walk, which takes about 23 minutes.

There is no fee, but donations will be accepted.

According to organizers, young children may be uncomfortable with the darkness and sounds.

Winfield United Methodist Church is located at 5247 OH-516 in Dover.
