The Happy Harvesters 4-H club held its first official meeting at the First Lutheran Church of Strasburg last month.

Livestock members were asked if they attended a quality assurance seminar. The Camp Piedmont benefit was held Saturday, March 26. Club members volunteered and provided baskets. Snack schedules were passed out to all families, and many upcoming dates were shared.

It was decided to move the third annual online auction fundraiser to June instead of August, due to many of the baskets and donations being related to summer. Club members hope people have time to enjoy them while kids are out of school.

Election speeches were shared by many members, and the following are the results of the club vote: President Jacob Wisselgren, Vice President Wyema Porter, secretary Zoey Minard, treasurer Haley Wisselgren and news reporter Peyton Vickers.

The club ended the night with a St. Patrick’s-themed trivia game with everyone wearing their green. Snacks were provided by advisors Makayla Reiger and Tim and Andrea Schlabach.

On Tuesday, March 29, the new club officers attended their annual officer and leadership training led by the advisors at the Cross Caffe in Strasburg. There were many lessons, ice-breaker games, officer duties, brain-storming ideas for the coming year and more. Club members had dinner and planned for 2022.
