Harrison Coal and Reclamation Historical Park to host Fall Show
Harrison Coal and Reclamation Historical Park will hold its annual Fall Show Sept. 7 and 8. The event features working and static restored antique excavating equipment, some of which are one of a kind.
A Michigan loader donated to the group, was only used as a prototype and test machine for designing the 475c loaders. It was never put into production, but now it can be seen digging as it was built to do.
Other machines working on site are bulldozers, a Marion 111 dragline, cranes, various Gradalls and many others. There will be a flea market, Hillbilly Hotdogz and Such food truck, Ice Cream Island (Sunday only), and a kids area.
The grounds are located at 43672 Stumptown Road, Cadiz. Gate admission is $5 and parking is free. Hours are Saturday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
The HCRHP was founded in 1992, and is dedicated to the preservation of mining, excavating and other equipment. Membership dues are $15 a year. For more information, contact Amy Welch 330-401-9881.
