Porter wins TOPS’s Heart Healthy Contest
On Feb. 26, TOPS OH1573 Nashville opened with pledges. Bonnie Porter was best weekly loser. She said to eat two new vegetables this week. Mabel Leid was best monthly loser. Porter also won the club’s Heart Healthy Contest.
Janice Tope gave a program using the March/June TOPS Magazine article in which three TOPS members discussed their experience using semaglutide medicines. One had no side effects and is achieving her goal to lose 100 pounds. She also maintains exercise and a balanced diet. The second had adverse side effects using Ozempic in the beginning. Now she is relying on high protein, fruit and vegetables toward her 70-pound loss goal. The third lady restarted her journey to lose after COVID using Ozempic but ended up stopping her use of it and is still making progress toward her goal weight.
TOPS OH1573 meets at the Nashville Global Methodist Church on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m., with weigh-in at 5 p.m. The first meeting is free.
