On June 11, TOPS OH 1573 Nashville opened with pledges. Mabel Leid was best weekly loser. She said to drink plenty of water and eat smaller portions. Lana Rush was best weekly KOPS. Each member received an Activities to Steps Conversion Chart from the Healthy Life Store.

Leid gave a program from The Bargain Hunter titled “Food Connects Us: Celebrate National Nutrition Month.” Culture, ethnicities, geography, families and friends connect people to different foods. Nutrient needs may change, but essential nutrients remain steadfast. Fill your plate with fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and dairy or fortified soy milk.

The club meets at the Nashville Global Methodist Church on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m., with weigh-in at 5 p.m. The first meeting is free.
