2 Wayne Countians earn degrees

Local students earned degrees and recognition on the dean's list.


Corey Bunt of Wooster graduated in May from University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, Wisconsin with a BS degree in hotel restaurant and tourism. The university, which has 49 undergraduate majors and 21 graduate programs including one doctoral degree, graduated more than 1,180 students in May.

Jennifer Kane of Wooster graduated from the College of Letters and Science with a degree in social work when nearly 1,700 University of Wisconsin Oshkosh students graduated in May. The 146th spring commencement ceremony was conducted for the first time in a virtual format.

The following students have been named to the spring dean's list at Muskingum University: Mitchell Clark, Bryce Husted and Caitlyn Huth, Dalton; Mikayla Deiotte, Marshallville; and Colton Furr and Julie Gladwell, Wooster.

To be named to the dean's list, students must earn a term GPA of 3.6 or above on a minimum load of 12 completed semester hours of A-F graded coursework.

Clara Lemal-Brown, a Wooster High graduate, was named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Quinnipiac University. To qualify for the dean's list, students must earn a GPA of at least 3.5 with no grade lower than C.
