BCC offers career camp for kids
Program options for Buckeye Career Center’s Career Exploration Summer Camp are filling as the registration deadline approaches. The camp, for incoming students grades 4-6, will be June 7-9 from 9-11:30 a.m. each day at BCC. Registration for the camp will close May 16.
Campers are asked to select one session to attend all three days. Options include Art-tastic Designs, graphic design; Babysitting Bootcamp, education/child care; Construction Zone, carpentry; Event Planning 101, Flip Flop Polish Pop, hair and nails; Hot Rod Factory, cars and engines; Manufacturing Minds, engineering and manufacturing; Medical Masters, nursing and medical; Posey Pickers, floral design and crafts; and Molar Bears, dental hygiene.
Cook’s Camp, Lead Investigators, and Woods and Water also are being offered but are now full and no longer accepting campers.
Students will complete various projects and activities related to their session choice, and the event will culminate on the final day of camp with a student showcase for parents. The showcase will be held in the BCC cafeteria at 11 a.m.
Registration forms and flyers were distributed to all eligible partner school students, but the camp is open to any grade-qualifying child in the area. Transportation also may be provided and will be determined by each partner school once registration is complete.
