Career Center student wins crystal competition
Wayne County Schools Career Center student Kyle Hutchison of Triway poses with his winning copper sulfate crystal and his prize of rock candy pops. The top crystal in each of 10 classes was displayed and voted on by career center students. Hutchison, a senior in ag mechanics, came in first out of roughly 170 entrants. Students also grew sulfur crystals, silver crystals and phenyl salicylate crystals in their classes.
