The Tuscarawas County Catholic Schools are now accepting applications for the 2021-22 school year.

Immaculate Conception School in Dennison and Tuscarawas Central Catholic Elementary School in Dover have classes from preschool through grade six. Tuscarawas Junior/Senior High School in New Philadelphia houses grade 7-12.

“We want to let all families know that they have options when seeking the educational option that best fits their needs and desires,” junior/senior high school principal Jennifer Calvo said. “We offer for students of all faiths and backgrounds a supportive environment built on the gospel values and teachings of Jesus Christ.”

About 20% of the students at Tuscarawas Central Catholic Junior/Senior High School, Immaculate Conception and Tuscarawas Central Catholic Elementary School are not Catholic.

The schools participate in Ohio’s EdChoice Scholarship Program, which provides scholarships to families whose household income is at 250% or less of Federal Poverty Guidelines.

“That means a family of four earning about $65,500 or less could receive a scholarship paying the entire cost of tuition,” Tuscarawas Central Catholic Elementary and Immaculate Conception principal Matt Ritzert said. “Our low tuition rates and opportunities for scholarships create a very affordable option for all families.”

The schools are accepting applications from students at all grade levels. “We encourage families interested in preschool and prekindergarten classes to register early because those classes usually fill up very quickly,” Ritzert said.

Links to online application forms and more information about the schools can be found at www.Be-A-Saint.org and each school website.

“Families interested in learning more are encouraged to call any one of the schools and schedule a visit,” Ritzert said.

“Although we cannot schedule public open houses at this time because of the pandemic, students and their parents are welcome to visit and meet our students and staff,” Calvo said.
