Holmes-Wayne Electric Cooperative announced that applications are being accepted for its 2019 scholarship program for area high school students. The member-owned electric utility will award 10 cash scholarships in all, totaling $15,000 in scholarships.
Students will compete in two divisions (boys and girls) for scholarships of $2,500, $2,000, $1,500, $1,000 and $500 in each division.
The cooperative encourages all eligible students to apply. One local first-place winner will compete in April for 24 scholarships awarded by Ohio Electric Cooperatives.
