Foundation awards $1,000 scholarships to 2020 grads

The Quaker Digital Academy Foundation has awarded $1,000 scholarships to 2020 graduates Seth Harriman, Kelley Powell and Shayann Wilson.

Harriman, son of Geoff and Kim Harriman of New Philadelphia, plans to attend Cleveland State University and major in film. While attending QDA, he also was a member of the Delphian Choral and Drama Club at New Philadelphia High School and earned a superior rating in the solo and ensemble contests.

Powell, daughter of Regina Powell of Belpre, plans to attend Marietta College and major in graphic design. She has received a Marietta College Founder’s Scholarship in the amount of $24,000 per year and also a Premier Scholarship in the amount of $1,000. She participated in the College Credit Plus program while a student at QDA, taking college courses at Washington State Community College and Marietta College. She was a member of the QDA National Honor Society and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

Wilson, daughter of Larry and Jennifer Wilson of Dover, plans to attend National Beauty College in Canton. She was a member of the QDA National Honor Society.
