OSU educator Melinda Hill of Wayne County was recently named the Educator of the Year by the National Extension of Family Consumer Science.

                        

Ohio State University educator Melinda Hill was recently honored by the Wayne commissioners for being named Educator of the Year by the National Extension of Family Consumer Science.

Hill has previously won the Distinguished Service and Continued Excellence awards.

“This award highlights your dedication and hard work within the OSU Extension office,” commissioner Sue Smail said. “These efforts not only show your enthusiasm for your work, but demonstrated the impact you have on families within our community.”

Hill specializes in food preservation, basic financial literacy and home-ownership education.
