Roth named new Parkview Elementary principal
Wooster City School District recently announced Katie Roth as the new principal of Parkview Elementary.
Roth served this past school year as the administrative intern at Cornerstone Elementary, where she enjoyed connecting with the school community. In addition to building relationships, she focused her energy on supporting and highlighting the many Cornerstone student, staff and family events through social media and communications. A recent accomplishment for the Cornerstone staff is the Leader in Me Lighthouse Certification.
Roth’s background before her work at Cornerstone includes teaching for the Dalton Local School District and serving on the Dalton District Leadership Team, where she helped lead positive student outcomes for the district.
Roth holds a master’s degree in educational leadership from Ashland University and a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Language Arts from Kent State University.
“It’s a privilege to join the Parkview staff,” said Roth, who resides in Wooster with her husband. “I look forward to building on the Parkview foundation of excellence and fostering a strong, connected school community.”
Superintendent Gabe Tudor said, “Mrs. Roth has shown positive leadership at Cornerstone Elementary, and we look forward to her taking on the role of Parkview principal.”
