Chivelet Alteus, John Chaney abd Delaney Savage were named Students of the Month at Tuscarawas Central Catholic recently.

                        

Chivelet Alteus is the senior February Student of the Month at Tuscarawas Central Catholic High School. He is the son of Rhonda and Jim Kennedy of New Philadelphia.

Alteus lists Lightning Indoor Soccer Club, Kadilak Music Group, Sports Dome Indoor Soccer, Mentor Leadership Team and College Mixte Dernier Louis Annophin – Bacheliers Soccer Team as his extracurricular activities. French, English, I-Music, algebra, environmental science and advanced PE are his favorite classes.

For hobbies Alteus likes to listen to music, play soccer, watch movies, and spend time lifting weights and writing music. He said the best advice he has ever received was “always try your best in everything you do and have faith that God will reward all your hard work in his time, according to his plan.”

After high school graduation, Alteus plans to attend Kent State Tuscarawas and obtain a degree in entrepreneurship. He also would like to produce music.

Delaney Savage is the junior high February Student of the Month at TCC. She is the daughter of Stacy and Rich Savage of Dover. She lists softball, basketball, volleyball, track and Power of the Pen as her extra-curricular activities.

Savage’s favorite classes are religion, social studies and art. Sports, shopping, working out, eating, playing with her dog, and spending time with friends and family are her favorite pastimes. She said the best advice she ever received was “always be yourself and don’t worry about what others think of you.”

John Chaney is the sophomore February Student of the Month at TCC. He is the son of Chris and Kelly Chaney of Carrollton. The following are his extracurricular activities: track, bowling, Academic Challenge, altar server and missionary work in Kentucky.

Chaney’s favorite classes are geometry, algebra 2 and communications. Bowling, fishing and farming are his hobbies. He said the best advice he ever received was “stop worrying about all your problems and do something to fix them.”
