Torgler steps down as West Holmes track coach
The West Holmes Local Schools Board of Education met Monday, July 8 at West Holmes High School for a regular meeting.
During the meeting the board approved the resignation of Matthew Torgler, head high school track and field coach, effective June 24.
The board also did the following:
—Approved the June 30 transfer of the remaining 022 OHSAA tournament account funds to the 300 fund.
—Approved board policy IKF, graduation requirements.
—Approved a contract between West Holmes Local Schools and Total Education Solutions in Fairlawn.
—Approved a contract for law-enforcement services between the sheriff of Holmes County and West Holmes Local Schools.
—Approved the following hirings: Michael Blevins, custodian, effective June 6; Andrea Bower, bus driver, effective Aug. 12; and Erica Booth, bus driver, effective Aug. 12.
—Approved the transfer of Jessica Vaughn from cook to paraprofessional, effective Aug. 12.
The next board meeting is scheduled for Aug. 19 at West Holmes High School.
