The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States announced the opening of its annual Voice of Democracy Scholarship program.

                        

The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States announced the opening of its annual Voice of Democracy Scholarship program.

VFW Post 1445 in New Philadelphia will award $3,000 in scholarships to the winning entries submitted by Tuscarawas County high school students. The winning post entry will advance to the VFW district level with an opportunity to advance to state and nationals.

Additional scholarships are awarded to winning entries at all levels up to national. The winning national entry will be awarded a $30,000 scholarship.

Applications are being hand delivered to every high school in Tuscarawas County.
