As an emergency measure to ensure uninterrupted care to the area, Community Mental Healthcare is now providing select services by telephone.

CMH services available by telephone include psychiatry, nursing, counseling, case management and primary care. Crisis Intervention remains available by phone or in person 24/7 within Tuscarawas and Carroll counties.

This new service-delivery method allows individuals needing services to connect with their providers while adhering to health and safety directives set by the State of Ohio to deter the spread of COVID-19.

These services are being covered by nearly all health insurers. To learn more about these services or to determine if your insurance covers telephone-counseling services, call CMH at 330-343-6631.

“Our state legislature has acted quickly to ensure individuals in communities across Ohio can continue to have access to necessary health care without risking further exposure to COVID-19,” said JJ Boroski, executive director of Community Mental Healthcare. “Our administrative team at CMH has worked incredibly hard to ensure our agency was ready to implement telephone services immediately upon hearing we could proceed with telephone services.”

Boroski said all CMH and health center locations also remain open for regular office visits. “All employees are having their temperatures checked in the morning as they enter the building,” he said. “All other individuals entering the building also undergo a screening process to determine any health risks.”
