Curfew in Wooster should be enforced

Letter to the Editor:

The recent letter in the July 4 WWN leaves me to wonder if Desiree (Weber) made any trips to downtown Wooster to prove that the prior letter writer’s claims were unsubstantiated.

Unless she works nights, she is more than likely home in her bed, sound asleep with no noise to interfere with her slumber. We hear countless calls on the police scanner to the downtown Wooster area, so the original post from a lady who lives in the condos right above the square are right as to the nature of the problems she listed.

Desiree suggests this woman see these people as her neighbors. I suggest Desiree pass out her address, and we can get a bunch of people together, take our tables and chairs, our loud music, our illegal products and let’s see how neighborly she will be when we are there all day and night 24/7.

Yes, we do have other issues in our town that need to be dealt with, but this doesn’t give anyone the right to infringe on other people’s rights. This woman pays rent to live there and has the right to enjoy her home all hours of the day as does Desiree.

The curfew in this town needs to be enforced, and I know it’s hard when our officers are out with drug overdoses, shootings, break-ins, etcetera.

Thank God we have our police department. Can you imagine the amount of lawlessness if we didn’t?
