Of particular interest is a new parasitoid of the emerald ash borer that may show promise in stemming the loss of ash trees in the state.

                        

The East Central Ohio Forestry Association will meet Aug. 7 at 7 p.m. at the Dover Public Library, 525 N. Walnut St., Dover. Tom Macy, forest health specialist for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, will speak on the state of affairs regarding Ohio's forest health.

Of particular interest is a new parasitoid of the emerald ash borer that may show promise in stemming the loss of ash trees in the state.

The public is invited to attend the free meetings, which are held the first Wednesday of each month at the Dover Public Library.
