Friends of the Library to host book sales
This summer the Friends of the Library organizations will host community book sales at the Tuscarawas County Public Library System’s Tusky Branch Library, Strasburg Branch Library and the Tuscarawas County Main Library.
This summer the Friends of the Library organizations will host community book sales at the Tuscarawas County Public Library System’s Tusky Branch Library, Strasburg Branch Library and the Tuscarawas County Main Library.
“These book sales are a great way to support our Friends of the Library organizations, who do so much for our library system,” Library Director Michelle McMorrow Ramsell said.
The Friends of the Library groups support the Tuscarawas County Public Library System by funding programs and materials that fall outside the library’s general operating budget. Each branch has its own Friends group.
The book sale at the Tusky Branch Library will be Friday, July 18 from 1-5 p.m. and Saturday, July 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The branch is located at 209 S. Main St. in Tuscarawas.
At the Strasburg Branch Library, the sale will take place Thursday, Aug. 7 from 1-4:30 p.m.; Friday, Aug. 8 from 1-5 p.m.; and Saturday, Aug. 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A kid’s lemonade stand also will be part of the event. The branch is located at 356 Fifth St. SW in Strasburg.
The Tuscarawas County Main Library in New Philadelphia will host its sale Friday, Aug. 15 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, Aug. 16 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. A selection of books for adults and children will be available. The library is located at 121 Fair Ave. NW.
