Gooch listens, leads by example
Letter to the Editor,
For the current election, as parents, we are concerned about the environment, climate change and our children's future. As we've watched both candidates, Mark Gooch appears to be the only candidate who has taken the time to get out and listen to people's concerns, including the importance of this issue.
By diversifying our energy sources to include renewable options like wind and solar over the next decades, we can reduce our energy dependence on fossil fuels while at the same time creating new, good-paying jobs for Ohio citizens. We strongly feel Wayne County needs a representative with the integrity and focus to find solutions to the environmental problems we face, rather than engaging in divisive, partisan politics.
We've met Mark, and he understands our concerns. He is out and around in the county, listening to people. He consistently leads by example, making community service a priority in his life.
Our choice for the Ohio House of Representatives seems clear. Re-elect someone with extremist positions or send someone of character and common sense who is willing to work with everyone.
