Letter to the Editor,
One thing I’ve learned in almost 80 years on this blue orb is there are about as many opinions on almost anything as there are people. Can they all be right or wrong for that matter? Political, social, religious, economic … just state your opinion and prepare for engagement.
This fantastic blue orb we call home has gone through five mass extinctions, and it appears headed perhaps toward the sixth. But alas I stated an opinion, and I know where that will lead.
Perhaps it’s time we start treating our world and others with kindness and respect. We can all have our own opinions, but the reality is five mass extinctions preceded us. Let’s try to delay or prevent a sixth by listening to what the Earth is telling us. That’s the one opinion that really matters.
