New Towne Mall will host its annual trick-or-treat night on Oct. 27 from 5:30-7 p.m.

“We’re thrilled to once again offer special ways to connect with others and experience the festivities of autumn at New Towne Mall,” said Tori Noah, general manager at New Towne Mall. “We hope guests enjoy our traditional offerings such as the Candy Crawl and enjoy giving back as a community to our local Blessings in a Backpack of New Philadelphia organization.”

Teal Pumpkin Project promotes safety, inclusion and respect of individuals managing food allergies. Participating tenants will display a teal pumpkin sign on store-front windows that can be identified as offering an alternative for kids with food allergies and other children for whom candy is not an option.

Guests also will get a live acoustic performance by Daniel Welsh near the food court, sponsored by Kay Jewelers and Newsymom. MK Events will provide a free Halloween craft for kids, and Marlene Marsh will provide a kid-friendly witch dance near Campbell Creek.

This year’s Candy Crawl event is sponsored by The First National Bank of Dennison.

New Towne Mall is partnering with Blessings in a Backpack of New Philadelphia for a community giveback. One-in-six kids who eat meals at school during the week are without affordable, healthy food on Saturday and Sunday. Quaker Packs provides food for elementary school children in New Philadelphia who may otherwise have little or no food to eat on the weekends during the school year.
