OSU club and Young Democrats co-host Dover blood drive
The Ohio State Alumni Club of Tuscarawas County and the Tuscarawas County Young Democrats are teaming up to host a blood drive Thursday, July 17 at the Dover Public Library’s community room. Donations will be accepted from 3-6 p.m.
Registration is encouraged but not required. Walk-ins are welcome. To register, visit the events page at www.osu.edu or email osutusc@gmail.com for a direct link. Registration is now open.
“The OSU Alumni Club was planning this event, and I asked if the Tuscarawas County Young Dems could join in,” said Genaro DeMonte, acting president of the Young Dems. “Both groups believe it is important to find ways to serve others in our community, so this event has provided a great opportunity for both of our groups.”
Vitalant, the organization conducting the blood collection, provides the blood supply for Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital.
“When we were contacted by a representative of Vitalant to set up a blood donation event, we knew this was a great opportunity for us,” said Martha Campbell, president of the OSU Tuscarawas County Alumni Club. “Joining with the Young Dems will allow this project to be made known to a larger audience. Anyone in Tuscarawas and surrounding counties is welcome to participate.”
The Dover Public Library is located at 525 N. Walnut St. in Dover.
