The Scarf Project is seeking a coordinator. Toni Kaltenbaugh, founder and coordinator, plans to retire at the culmination of the 2024 scarf season. She will be available to provide direction as needed for the new coordinator during the 2025 season. This position is 100% volunteer.

The Scarf Project coordinator will need to have a large space for yarn and scarf storage throughout the year. Also needed is a convenient location that can receive the scarves and yarn as they are donated. This needs to be an address that is convenient and can be published so individuals know where to take their finished products. The coordinator will need to obtain yarn donations and make available to those who create the finished products.

Scarves need to be photographed and counted prior to placing in storage. Photographs are then posted on the Scarf Project Facebook page. Obtaining flyers and banners yearly is required. Securing a location for the Tuck, Tag and Match event, which is a full day, also is necessary. All locations for the day of scarf bombing need to be contacted yearly to coordinate the hanging of the scarves. Monitors need to be contacted for each site and to coordinate the pickup of their scarves. Press releases also will need to be written periodically throughout the year.

Scarf day is always the second Friday in November. The coordinator goes to each site throughout the day to ensure all monitors have everything they need and the scarves are hanging.

Call Kaltenbaugh at 330-432-1930 to set up an interview.
