Letter to the Editor,

Tuscarawas County has been fortunate to have Sen. Sherrod Brown fighting for us in Washington. While many politicians — on both sides of the aisle — are caught up in endless political bickering, Brown has been fighting for the things that matter to us, right here at home. He has prioritized industrial growth, he has fought for our farmers, he is a strong voice for organized labor, and he has pushed investments into schools and rural communities like ours.

Brown also understands that depriving women of the right to make personal healthcare decisions and engage in family planning is anything but “pro-family.” Brown’s “pro-family” agenda focuses on providing real career opportunities for all Ohioans, affording them with access to quality healthcare, and providing strong public schools for our kids. He has worked tirelessly to deliver on these fronts, and his commitment to supporting Ohio families remains unwavering.

Brown’s record here in Tuscarawas County speaks for itself. He has secured many millions in federal dollars for our community including funding for hyper-local projects that directly impact our community. A new boom lift truck for the Village of Tuscarawas, critical funding for wastewater infrastructure in Gnadenhutten and nearly $9 million to expand high-speed internet access in our most remote corners are just some of the more recent examples of Brown’s commitment to Tuscarawas County.

Brown’s work extends even further with $25 million in loans to improve our electric infrastructure, ensuring safer and more reliable service for our region. He has burnished a national reputation for his support of made-in-America manufacturing initiatives, and his long-standing support for rural development continues to strengthen our local, state and national economy.

Brown is a public servant who fights for us. He has earned our support, in meaningful ways. Reelecting Brown will ensure Ohio and Tuscarawas County continue to have a strong voice in Washington, one that is committed to the needs of our families and the future of our communities.
