Signups for the Southeast Summer Reading Club will begin June 1.

                        

Sign-ups for the Southeast Community Libraries Summer Reading Club will start June 1 for youths in the area of local libraries in Apple Creek, Fredericksburg and Holmesville.

Stop in to pick up instructions and a reading record. The more you read, the more you receive. Read 1,000 minutes and receive a Super Reader shirt or tote bag.

Libraries also are offering other events and programs.

On Saturday, June 18 from 10 a.m. to noon, Touch-a-Truck events will take place in Apple Creek, Holmesville and Fredericksburg. Art in the Park also will take place that day in Fredericksburg, sponsored by Simply Hand Made.

On Monday, July 11 at 7 p.m., Herky the Clown will have magic tricks and balloons at Apple Creek Library.

On Friday, July 22 at 6:30 p.m., author Lindsay Bonilla will have interactive storytelling with audience participation at Fredericksburg Park.

On Wednesday, July 27 at 6 p.m., Whiz Bang Science Show will take place at Prairie Township Library in Holmesville.

Summer story times will be Fridays from 10-11 a.m. in Apple Creek, Wednesdays from 10-11 a.m. June 22 through July 27 in Fredericksburg at the park and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to noon June 2-30 in Holmesville.
