Following the White’s Ford tailgate party, the community is invited to join Orrville Area United Way as it kicks off its annual campaign on Aug. 30 at the Orrville Red Riders’ home opening football game.

Board members, staff and partner agency representatives will be on hand to share the vision of United Way and how local support plays a role in keeping Orrville and the surrounding area a safe and caring place.

Stop by the United Way tents for popcorn and sign up for a chance to win a prize.

The organization also will celebrate Helen Myers as she embarks on her retirement after over 33 years serving as the executive director of the Orrville Area United Way. Her dedication has impacted the lives of countless community members. Myers and her husband Gene, a longtime Orrville teacher and coach, will be honored at half-time for their contributions to the people of Orrville, Dalton and Marshallville.

As Orrville Area United Way moves forward into 2020, its vision remains mobilizing communities to advance the common good by supporting education, financial stability and health.
